Yoga is also beneficial for healing, energizing, activating and balancing all of the seven chakra energy centers. There are specific yoga postures that can be used for working with each individual chakra centre. When energy in any of the chakra centers becomes blocked or imbalanced, it can lead to health issues on the mental, emotional and physical level of one's being. These energetic malfunctions can be balanced and healed through the use of these many specific yogic positions so that energy can properly flow more efficiently. This will result in good overall chakra health, and wellness for the entire being, especially when practiced on a consistant basis.

If you are new to the concept of yoga, or if you are considering giving yoga a try, then the first place you might want to start is by joining a yoga class. There are probably many yoga groups or yoga instructors that you can find in your local area. If you are not completely familiar with yoga or have never practiced the postures before, then It is highly recommended that you join a yoga group or find an introductory or beginners yoga class to join. It's important that the yoga postures are performed in the correct way to prevent strain or injury, and in order to receive the full benefits of each of the postures.
