Seed Mantras For Each Chakra
Every chakra has a sacred word, or sound associated with it. These sounds are known as a "Seed Mantra", or "Bija Mantra". These mantric words can be used for sound healing with the chakras.
There are seven specific mantra sounds associated with each of of the seven chakra centres of the body. Chanting the Seed/Bija mantras will allow you to activate, clear, align and balance the energy within each chakra.
One can chant the associated seed mantra for any particular chakra that's being worked with. This will activate or tune the chakra to the correct energetic frequency.
Chanting mantras (either aloud or silently) during meditation or when practicing yoga can help change the flow of the energy in your body, also clearing any stagnant energetic blocks in the chakra centers.
When chanting or meditating upon the mantras, one would repeat the mantra sound/word (often 108 times) while focusing on the chakra. It also helps to visualize the color of the corresponding chakra that you are meditating upon while you chant its mantra. One can also use the
Chakra Mudras, or hand positions, while reciting each Mantra and working with the chakras for added benefit.

Each Seed Mantra/Bija Mantra consists of a single syllable or word. When these mantras are said aloud they will activate the energy of the chakra, helping to balance them, and also to purify the mind & body.
These chakra sounds are very powerful and can be used to unblock each of the seven chakras, also helping to awaken the kundalini life force.
Mantras are found in many spiritual traditions throughout the world.
These sacred chakra sounds are referred to as "Seed Mantras", because in the Hindu tradition, the word Bija means "Seed".
It's also one of the letters in the Sanskrit alphabet which consists of about 50 different bijas.
The Chakra Petals and Sanskrit Sounds
Sanskrit is not an ordinary human language; it's often referred to as the "language of the gods".
The
petals of each chakra have specific syllables or sounds associated with them. The vibrations of each of the chakra petals are sometimes referred to as the "sounds of the cosmos."
In Yogic scriptures,
there is a direct correlation with each of the sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet, and the chakras.
Each of the letter of the Sanskrit alphabet is said to open one of the 50 petals of the chakras.
The 50 letters/sounds in the Sanskrit alphabet have a vibrational correspondence to the 50 "petals" (concentrated energy centers) that are located within these first 6chakras (from the Root Chakra along the base of the spine, to the Brow Chakra.
A "Petal" is also referred to as a vibration or a "Ray" which is a localized point of energy that is part of each chakra.
These Rays govern the various psychological and
physiological activities in the physical and astral bodies of man.
